Hormone Imbalance

How do hormonal imbalances affect us?

Hormones come from glands and function like messengers sending signals to all parts of the body, to help our body to function well. Factors such as behavior, age, environment, diet, and lifestyle can affect changes in hormone levels. Hormones are more than just male and female. They include thyroid, liver and other glands and organs throughout the body.

They have an impact on developmental, psychological, emotional, health, repair, anti-aging, sickness, digestive, and metabolic processes in the body.

In the short term, the cause may not be clearly identifiable as it may not yet have developed into a disease. Our process can detect potential issues before they become significant problems.

Hormonal imbalance can occur at any age and often results in these common symptoms such as:

  • Mood swings
  • Difficulty sleeping and waking up feeling unrefreshed
  • Decreased energy and fatigue
  • Irregular menstrual periods
  • Increased weight gain and difficulty losing weight
  • Decreased sexual performance
  • Acne, changes in skin texture, and premature aging
  • Osteoporosis and bone loss
  • Depression and chronic stress

In addition to controlling the reproductive system, sex hormones have a direct impact on emotional control, energy levels, creativity, motivation, stress management, and sleep quality. This affects relationships, work performance, and daily activities.

If hormonal imbalances persist for a long time, they can be a contributing factor to chronic fatigue, depression, or insomnia. Hormonal balance is therefore an important factor for both physical and mental health.

The balance level of hormones in our body is necessary because each hormone relies on and affects each other. This causes our body to work in a coordinated system. Even a slight imbalance in just 1 or 2 hormones can lead to various conditions or symptoms related to hormones, such as decreased metabolism in the body, increased accumulation of body fat, difficulty sleeping, easily becoming angry, depression, dry and dull skin, decreased sex drive, etc.

Here at Natural Allergy and Health Solutions we evaluate the whole person. We take into consideration your history, symptoms, as well as, your hormonal systems to determine underlying causes for imbalances to help bring them back into balance.
